About:
Carraway Computer Systems, LLC, and EasyBill Utility Billing Software
Carraway Computer Systems, LLC, (CCS LLC) opened for business on April 1, 2001, when David Carraway moved from being one member of a programming team to being the owner of the entire EasyBill Utility Billing Software line, which had its beginnings in the early 1990s. Upon formation of Carraway Computer Systems, LLC, in 2001, EasyBill32 has continued to be improved and modified to better meet the needs of all of the EasyBill32 customers across the USA. CCS LLC is a small, family-owned business located in Hattiesburg Mississippi. Through the decades, CCS LLC has served over 380 utility systems in 38 states. Its success can easily be attributed to the Southern Hospitality style of software support offered for a very reasonable support contract price, very affordable license pricing, and the user-friendliness of EasyBill32 itself. The ease and thoroughness with which EasyBill32 presents pertinent information about product usage, sales and revenue has been appreciated by data entry personnel, accountants and auditors alike. There are also safeguards automatically incorporated into data records that provide security for sensitive data types while also providing data entry activity information helpful for detecting inappropriate attempts to mask unwanted revenue diversion or usage tampering. A concerted effort has been made to provide a wide range of flexibility while maintaining a simple approach to utility billing tasks.
About:
David Carraway, Owner and Programmer of EasyBill 32
David Carraway was a very gifted individual who was quick to give The Lord Jesus Christ all the Honor for all he had accomplished. He spent many years working as a vocational teacher in the public schools of Jefferson Davis County, MS; then, afterwards, serving the JDC Public Schools as Data Processing Administrator and Business Administrator for the entire school district. The knowledge learned as the Business Administrator would prove valuable to him in learning accounting principles that would later be incorporated into the utility billing software he would write. He would also become proficient in writing banking software, as well as court scheduling software, in addition to serving as adjunct instructor at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS, teaching the use of the computer.
The purpose of the scriptures backdropping this page is to honor the 3 years he gladly served as interim, lay pastor of New Beginning Church, Columbia, MS. In the coming years he would remain active in Bible Studies, always ready to defend the truth and authenticity of The Word of God. He proudly supported his wife and daughter as they engaged in a national Gospel Music Ministry known as Country Praise.
No matter the ups and downs of life that everyone eventually faces, David may be best remembered for his reply when State Rural Water Association convention-goers would ask him how he was doing. With a twinkle in his eye and a sideways grin, he would always reply, “Any better and I couldn’t stand it!”, to which his wife, determined to have the last word, would state, “That’s because he’s married to me!”
David entered into his Eternal Rest in 2018 following a truly heroic and brave battle with cancer. He would be happy to know that the next 2 generations of his family have continued the company, proudly serving the customers with whom he made a point of knowing personally and whom he loved.
